NHRA resents checking of hotels by NPG groups

Dimapur, November 12 (MExN): Nagaland Hotel & Restaurant Association (NHRA) in its executive meeting held on November 11 has expressed strong reservation and grievances against “checking of hotels in the name of NPG groups.”  

NHRA office in a press release stated that now with the coming of the festive season, tourist from outside the state have started visiting our state and when random checking by different groups take place, it affects the “psychology” of the visitors which in return affects our state economy.  

When NHRA is trying its best to promote tourism in collaboration with different stakeholders, such checking affects the sole purpose of NHRA, it stated while adding, tourism industry is the only viable industry which should be promoted by each and every individual in our state. Further, NHRA warns that in future if any such checking takes place without any prior co-ordination with the lawful authority or Nagaland Hotel & Restaurant Association, that it shall not remain a silent spectator but may even go up to the extent of closing down all hotel establishments as a sign of protest.
