Mokokchung, October 26 (DIPR): Additional District Magistrate (ADM) Sivasagar, Assam has reinforced night curfew from 6:00 pm to 6:00 am in the 5 km belt of Sivasagar district bordering Nagaland state with effect from September 26 last for a period of 60 days. ADM, Sivasagar in an order stated that the night curfew has been imposed as a precautionary measure to prevent occurrence by/of anti-social elements/extremist/unlawful activities coming across the Assam/Nagaland border in the belt of Sivasagar district. ADM, Sivasagar stated that the movement of any person/ group of persons/any vehicular traffics is prohibited during the period of night curfew. Security personnel of army/CRPF/Police and civil officials deployed on duty are exempt from the purview of the prohibitory order, stated the order.
