Dimapur, July 28 (MExN): In a bid to support the dreams of numerous students aspiring for careers in medicine and engineering, the Nationalist Institute of Technology & Innovation (NITI) is organizing a free orientation session. Scheduled for August 1 at the Marwari Patti Dimapur Center, this initiative aims to bridge the gap for students from Nagaland and surrounding border areas of Assam and Manipur, especially those who fall under the Scheduled Tribe category.
With approximately 10,000 students in Nagaland alone pursuing science streams and aspiring to enter premier institutions like AIIMS and IITs, NITI's session comes at a critical time. The orientation will offer insights into career possibilities in the medical and engineering fields, providing students and their guardians with essential guidance.
NITI’s expert faculty lineup includes Dr. Abdul Hafeez, Prof. Dr. Ajay Sharma (IIT Guwahati), Ashwani Choubey (IIT Bombay), Er. Rishav Sethi (DTU, Delhi), and Divya Sethi (Audiologist, AIISH, Mysore). Additionally, Dr. R.K. Jain will conduct an online session, with guest IITian faculties Saurab Jain and Jitesh Sethi also contributing.
School managements, principals of science schools and colleges, NEET and JEE repeaters, and their guardians have been encouraged to attend the session, which will be held at NITI’s NEET-JEE Dimapur Center near Jain Girls College on Thursday, August 1, at either 11:00 am or 3:00 pm. The first fifty applicants will be eligible for 50% Freedom scholarships for coaching classes. Community leaders, doctors, engineers, and alumni from IITs, NITs, and NEET are also invited to grace the occasion.
