
Niuland, April 30 (MExN): Deputy Commissioner Niuland, Sara S Jamir informed that all forms of donations such as lotteries, sale of coupons, badges, calendars, donations etc from various union, societies or association in the district is causing great inconvenience to the public at large.
According to a DIPR report, it informed that as per the directives from the Home Department, Government of Nagaland the following rules will be followed with immediate effect in the district:
• Permission to organise annual fete day and sales day shall be given only to those organisations which are well established and functioning in the district with specific date and location. No door to door sale shall be allowed in any circumstances.
• Sale of badges or coupons and calendars shall be totally banned except for government sponsored sales such as Teachers Day and Armed Forces Flag Day Badges.
• Conducting of lotteries shall be totally banned except for those recognised organisations or Institutions who have been involved in charitable activities in the district. However, such organisations or institutions must submit applications to the home department through the Deputy Commissioner, Niuland.
The DC Niuland added that the order is issued for strict compliance of all the unions, societies or associations and groups functioning in Niuland district, and violation of this order shall invite strict action against such unions, societies, associations and groups as per relevant section of the law.
