Two government bills- The Nagaland Goods and Services Tax (Amendment) Bill 2019 and The Nagaland Agricultural Produce and Livestock Marketing (Promotion and Facilitation) Bill, 2020 have been passed on the floor of the House today.


Mentionably, Nagaland Goods and Services Tax (Amendment) Bill 2019 and  Nagaland Agricultural Produce and Livestock Marketing (Promotion and Facilitation) Bill, 2020 were introduced in the House on February 7 last by Chief Minister, Neiphiu Rio and Agriculture and Cooperation Minister, G Kaito Aye respectively.


After moving for consideration and passing today on the floor of the house, NLA speaker, Sharingain Longkumer announced those bills passed.


The North East Christian University (First Amendment) Bill, 2020 which was moved for consideration and passing by Higher & Technical Education Minister, Temjen Imna Along was, however not passed today.


Later, Nagaland’s Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio laid Horticulture Service Rules 2019, Nagaland Electricity Regulatory Commission (Multi Year Tariff) Regulations 2016 and Nagaland Electricity Regulatory Commission Regulations 2019.


Rio also laid the Annual Administrative Report 2028-20 of Department of Fisheries & Aquatic Resources, Tourism, Women Resource Development and Sericulture.


Planning & Coordination, Land Revenue and Parliamentary Affairs Minister, Neiba Kronu laid the Nagaland Planning Machinery Rules, 2019. He also tabled the annual administrative report 2019-2020 of the department of land revenue.


Higher & Technical Education Minister, Temjen Imna Along laid the Tribal Affairs Department Service Rules 2020.


Health & Family Welfare Minister S. Pangnyu Phom laid the Annual Administrative Report 2019-2020 of the Department of Health And Family Welfare.


Transport, Civil Aviation and Railways and Land Resources Minister, P Paiwang Konyak laid the Annual Administrative Report 2019-2020 of the Department of Land Resources.


Rural Development Minister, Metsubo Jamir tabled the Annual Administrative Report 2019-2020 of the Department of Urban Development.
