NLSF for befitting punishment against police officer caught selling ammunition

DIMAPUR, JULY 27 (MExN): Reacting to the arrest of six individuals including one armed branch Inspector of the Police department on the alleged illicit selling of ammunition case, the Nagaland Law Students Federation (NLSF) expressed shock over the brazen criminal act of a police officer who was serving as a law enforcement agent.

In a press release, NLSF condemned the action of the police personnel and said the concerned department must ensure that no stone is left unturned in the investigation process. It also appealed the judiciary and the Nagaland police department that the main accused Michael Yanthan be stringently punished under Section 27 of the Arms act 1959 along with the other five accused.

The Federation, meanwhile, conveyed its appreciation to the Nagaland police, the Dimapur Police and the special investigation team for their tireless and timely efforts in this operation.
