Dimapur, May 21 (MExN): The Governor of Nagaland PB Acharya interacted with the newly elected team of Nagaland Medicine Dealers Association (NMDA) under the Presidentship of Ato Yepthomi to Raj Bhawan on May 19 followed by a High Tea hosted by His Excellency.
Apprising the Governor about its activities, NMDA said that the Association organises medical camps when some epidemic occurs and if some areas are in need of emergency medical help, keep check on medicine prices which should not be beyond MRP, keep vigil on influx of substandard drugs, infiltration of spurious drugs and illegal Trade Practices etc apart from helping needy NGOs, organisations for medical purposes.
NMDA in a press release said that the Governor suggested the Association to take up projects like 'Beti Bachao Beti Padhao' Abhiyan and contribute to promote the project, which the Association has assured of contributing its best effort.
