NMSA 23rd general conference concludes

Medical students and others during Blood donation drive as part of NMSA conference in Kohima on October 11. 
 

 

Kohima, October 12 (MExN): The 23rd general conference of Nagaland Medical Students’ Association (NMSA) concluded here on Friday at ATI Complex under the theme “Learn to serve humanity.”


On the third day (October 11), NMSA conducted  blood donation drive in collaboration with Nagaland State Blood Transfusion Council, Nagaland State AIDS Control Society (NSACS) and Blood Bank, Naga Hospital Authority, Kohima (NHAK).


Dr Apila Sangtam, Medical Officer, Blood Bank, NHAK briefed the account of blood donation drive.


Blood donation instead has many health cons including Anti- Cancer benefits, maintains healthy Heart and Liver and good health, she said.


26 voluntary medical students donated blood after basic health screening.


The programme was followed by a thanksgiving session chaired by Mesano Peseyie which was graced by the speaker Viketuo Chupuo.


The session concluded with the consecration of the new office bearers for the tenure 2019-2021.
The new team will be led by Kuveluzo Chizo as President.
