Dimapur, October 12 (MExN): The NNC (Parent Body) today appealed to all concerned and the Naga National workers in particular to solemnly and prayerfully observe the Naga National Martyrs' Day of October 18 in remembrance of the Naga martyrs who laid down their lives for the freedom of Naga sovereignty.
A press release from Information & Publicity Wing, NNC (Naga National Council) stated it “is a very sacred day for the Naga people as thousands and thousands laid down their lives for our inalienable rights of sovereignty.”
The Naga people must remember and observe the sacred day “as our bounden duty” for their sacrificial deeds for “our freedom” and stand firm for the historical and political rights for posterity, it added.
The release further prayed that the “God Almighty bless and liberate Nagaland for the extension of His Kingdom.”
