The Naga National Council (Parent Body) in reference to a daily newspaper mentioning Yimchungrü region below the speech of Z. Royim Yimchungrü the Acting President of Naga National Council on the occasion of National Plebiscite Day of 16th May 2016 have to clarify to the people that Z.Royim is the Acting President of Naga National Council (Parent Body) not Yimchungrü region as mentioned.
Everybody in the homeland and abroad knows this fact for the last few years as Acting President of NNC and this position is on the larger interest of the Naga National Unity and in particular for ONE CONSENSUS NNC PRESIDENT in this matter as desired by concerned leaders of Naga people from different walks of life, therefore, as appealed and requested by the concerned leaders on different occasions, the NNC Parent Body for the best interest of Naga people and the NNC as a whole in particular remain in Acting President position till date for UNITY.
In fact, the NNC very resolution was and is "PEACE & UNITY in the homeland as stated in the past too on many occasions for the best interest of Naga people and the Naga National Political Groups (NNPGs) in particular being the Parent Body. Therefore NNC Parent Body always sacrifice for the best interest of Naga people for present and future good of the people and homeland in this matter of concerned for the last many years for peace and unity to prevail in reality. As a matter of fact the NNC never run after Presidentship or leadership as stated in the past and today too, therefore, we the NNC Parent Body appeal to all concerned to understand this position of our stand at this juncture of many Presidents of NNC and NSCN in the Naga homeland.
