Dimapur, December 21 (MExN): The Naga National Council (Parent Body) on Wednesday called on the Naga national workers and the Naga people to understand the reality that ‘there will be no political solution or settlement by one group or few groups’ as clearly seen over the last few decades of talks and negotiations with the Government of India.
“Until and unless the National Workers who stand for the whole and all the Naga people as one homeland workout together the National Unity for a political settlement, there will be no political solution or settlement by one group or few groups as we have seen clearly for the last more than 25 years of talk and negotiation with Government of India in this matter of political solution, let us understand the reality of the situation before it is too late,” it stated in a press release issued through its Information & Publicity wing.
The release also stated that the NNC (Parent Body) had always stood for Naga national unity for a political solution of all the Naga people and land. “Therefore, the NNC once again reiterated its stand for the Unity of all the Nagas as we struggled and fought together from the beginning to achieve official recognition of our Historical and Political rights for freedom as a people and nation by the Government of India and the Military Junta of Burma (Myanmar) in particular and other Nations of the world at large,” it added.
Further, it said that the Naga people “were and will always stand and believe in Jesus Christ the Saviour of the world as we believed and stood for the last 150 years.” It also wished all the people in the ‘Homeland and outside’ a Merry Christmas and a Prosperous New Year.
