Dimapur, August 14 (MExN): The NNC/FGN celebrated the 75th Naga Independence Day on August 14 in Dimapur. Brig (Retd) S Singnya, Kedahge, FGN unfurled the Naga National Flag while the 75th Naga Independence Day speech of the Kedahge was read out by Ghuvishe V Zhimomi, Secretary General, FGN.
On the occasion, more than 60 Naga Army officers were also promoted to higher ranks and also awarded meritorious medals and certificates, as per a press release from the NNC/FGN through its MIP.
The ongoing talks between the Government of India and the NNPGs were highlighted by Zhopra Vero, Kedallo, FGN. An Independence Day feast marked the end of the programme.
