Dimapur, April 23 (MExN): The Chang Region of the NNC/GDRN (Non-Accord) has issued a cautionary statement against individuals allegedly misusing the organisation’s name and authority.
According to a press release issued by the Caretaker Chairman of Chang Region, Y Among Chang, two individuals – Sipong Chang of Tuensang Village and Lemba Chang (alias Alem) of Buthambou Village – who were terminated from membership earlier this year, have been attempting to mislead the public by using the nomenclature of the NNC/GDRN (N-A).
However, the Caretaker asserted that that the entire civil and military set-up of the NNC/GDRN (N-A) Chang Region continues to stand firmly behind the leadership of President Kiumukam Yimkhiung and General Secretary George Yangba Konyak. It also reaffirmed its commitment to the historic “Agreed Position” signed on November 17, 2017, by President Kiumukam as Co-convener under the convenership of NKitovi Zhimomi.
Accordingly, the Chang Region further cautioned the public, including business communities and department heads (DHOD), to remain vigilant and not be misled by fraudulent elements. It also cautioned the two individuals to refrain from using the group’s name for personal interests, stating that any consequences arising from such actions would be their sole responsibility.
