NNSU 53rd annual session reflects on preservation of cultural heritage

The 53rd annual session of the Natha New Students' Union (NNSU) wrapped up on December 29 after two days filled with engaging discussions, inspirational talks, and cultural events. The event, held on December 28 and 29 brought together students, educators, and community leaders to reflect on the importance of resilience and the preservation of cultural heritage.

One of the key highlight of the session was addressed by Kivili H Zhimo, Chairperson of the SBAK Women Executive. Speaking on the theme “Empowering Resilience and Adaptability,” Zhimo emphasized the significance of adapting to modern lifestyles while striving for excellence in all aspects of life. She urged the attendees, particularly the students' to cultivate resilience in the face of adversity and to be adaptable in an ever-changing world.

Another notable speaker, Khetoho H Zhimo, a prominent member of the Natha community, delivered an insightful talk on “The Role of Students in Preserving Cultural Heritage.” In his address, he highlighted the crucial role students' play in safeguarding the rich traditions of the region. He encouraged the younger generation to actively engage in cultural preservation efforts while balancing the adoption of modern values to foster a unity and progressive community.

Apart from the insightful speeches, the session featured a series of activities, including a prepared speech competition, spelling bee, poetry presentations, and other cultural displays. These events allowed students' to showcase their talents and engage in meaningful discussions on contemporary issues affecting their community.

The NNSU leadership extended their heartfelt gratitude to all the speakers, participants, and volunteers for their invaluable contributions, which ensured the success of this year's session.
