“Cease Work” observed successfully throughout Nagaland

Dimapur, April 24 (MExN): Showing resentment towards the taxation of educational institutions by ‘National Workers’, which had led to the abduction of two teachers, All Nagaland School Teachers’ Association (ANSTA) today observed “cease-work”, where all Government teachers abstain from performing their duties.

True to the appeal made by ANSTA, when The Morung Express visited some Government Schools in Dimapur, all gates were found padlocked with no one in sight.

When contacted, ANSTA president, Ponchulo Wanth, stated that the “cease-work” has been carried out successfully in the State with no untoward incidents. “It was hundred per cent successful,” he said. “I hope our brothers have received the message,” he also said while adding that the Association hopes to have a mutual understating with the various factions. He also termed the “cease work” as an opportunity for our ‘brothers’ to identify their real members against bogus members. Stating that there are many unscrupulous persons in the guise of ‘National Workers’, he further added that 70 per cent of the so called factional members are not even true national workers.
