Yoto Chizo to participate at Muaythai Senior Asian Championship

Yoto Chizo, a distinguished Muaythai athlete from Nagaland, will represent India for the fourth time at the upcoming Muaythai 2025 Senior Asian  Championship, to be held from June 20 to 26 in Hanoi, Vietnam.

Chizo said that he will be leaving the country for the championship on June 19.

This prestigious event will also mark his final appearance on the international stage as he prepares to retire from global competition.

Chizo, son of Razuchi Chizo from Phek district, has brought pride to the nation through his consistent performances at national and international levels, including medal-winning appearances at the East Asian Championships and World Championships.

“It is a great honor to represent my country for the fourth and final time. I am deeply grateful for the support of my coaches, family, team, and all well-wishers who have stood by me,” Chizo stated and thanked the Government for extending financial assistance, enabling him to participate in this championship. I look forward to giving my best in this last international fight,” Chizo added.
