
Kohima, February 16 (MExN): A training of Nodal Officers for Election Expenditure Monitoring Cell (EEM), Media Certification and Monitoring Cell (MCMC), Media matters, Law & Order, district Security Plan relating to conduct of General Election to Lok Sabha, 2019 was held at DC’s Conference Hall, Kohima on February 16.
A DIPR report stated that the Chief Electoral Officer, Nagaland, Abhijit Sinha, IAS addressing the Nodal Officers highlighted on various roles and responsibilities of various cells under EEM to be performed during the Election process. He asked the Nodal Officers to go through the ‘Compendium of Instructions on Election Expenditure Monitoring’ and get oriented with the guidelines laid down by the Election Commission of India (ECI). ‘Whatever you have learnt in the training today, you try to supplement it from the Compendium and implement it in your respective areas for the successful conduct of the Election’, CEO added.
During the training sessions, Dy. Secretary, Finance & SLMT, Hiazu Meru, NCS highlighted on the important issues on ‘Accounting and Media Certification & Monitoring Cell (MCMC)’ while Joint Secretary, Water Resources & SLMT, Wati Aier, NCS spoke on ‘Flying Squad, Video Surveillance, Video Viewing, Static Surveillance’. OSD to CEO & NLMT, Vikhweno Chale, NCS spoke on ‘Vulnerability Mapping and Preventive Measures’ and Under Secretary, Border Affairs & SLMT, Zuring Madeliang, NCS spoke on the topic ‘District Security Plan and Law & Order’ followed by test and doubt clearing and discussion.
