Noklak district fishery office inaugurated

Noklak, July 27 (MExN): Advisor, Fisheries & Aquatic Resources, Evaluation, Economic & Statistics, L Khumo Khiamniungan inaugurated the District Fishery Office at Noklak on July 27.

In his inaugural speech, according to DIPR report, Khumo stated that the State government is working in all possible ways to reach out to the people. He expressed gratitude to Director, Fisheries & Aquatic Resources, Departmental Officials and everyone who took the initiative in establishing the District Fishery Office at Noklak.

Khumo requested the public to cooperate with the department. He said that for every developmental activity, land is required and for that, he requested the people to give full cooperation to the government for any kind of developmental activity in the district. While encouraging the farmers, he urged them to get the proper knowledge and learn new techniques and modern ways of fisheries and aquatic farming from the experts of the department. 

Speeches were also delivered by Superintendent of Police, Noklak, Dr Pritpal Kaur, IPS; Khiamniungan Tribal President, M Thangou and Extra Assistant Commissioner, Noklak P Pukha Lam. Keynote address was delivered by Director, Fisheries & Aquatic Resources, Kevisa Kense, IAS. Dedicatory prayer was delivered by Pastor, Longdon Baptist Church, Noklak, A Penglang. The programme was chaired by Additional Director of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources, Rongsennungba while vote of thanks was delivered by District Fishery Officer, Noklak, Dr Rongsenkumzuk.
