Northern train cancelled due to heavy rains

DIMAPUR, JULY 12 (MExN): The continuous bad weather conditions and heavy rainfall across many parts of North Indian belt, especially in the states of Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab and Haryana has affected normal train services over that region.

Accordingly, few trains bound for Northern India have been cancelled by Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) considering the safety and security of rail passengers,  a press release issued by Chief Public Relations Officer, NFR Sabyasachi De informed. 

NFR has also decided to implement two minutes stoppage for few trains at Mukuria railway station of Katihar division for Shravani Mela that will help clearing the extra rush of pilgrims to the Baba Gorakhnath Dham.

Train no 15903 (Dibrugarh - Chandigarh) Express will remain cancelled on July 14 for its scheduled journey to Chandigarh from Dibrugarh. Train no 05616 (Guwahati- Udaipur) Summer Special will remain cancelled for its scheduled journey from Guwahati on  July 16 to reach its destination of Udaipur.

For temporary stoppages of trains at Mukuria station- Train no 15719 Katihar- Siliguri and 15720 Siliguri- Katihar Intercity Express trains will arrive Mukuria station at 6:51 AM & 5:13 PM to depart at 6:53 AM & 5:15 PM respectively, till September 2 to clear the extra rush of pilgrims. 

Train no 15463 Balurghat- Siliguri and 15464 Siliguri - Balurghat Intercity Express will arrive Mukuria station at 3:27 PM & 11:03 PM to depart at 3:29 PM & 11:05 PM respectively till September 2 to clear the extra rush of pilgrims, the press release informed.
