•-Fighting and killing among the Naga brothers fell drastically since the past last few years. But the war on auto rickshaw fare continues to deteriorate. Every day I could get to witness a war of words between auto driver and passenger in every stop. Charging of fares almost becomes a menace to commuters plying in around Dimapur town. And to be more manifest, I could even get to witness my brother wearing off his temper in front of the church every Sunday because of auto fare. For this I believe that most of the commuters are facing the same problem or must have faced the same problem. And it is all happening because of charging too much fare by some auto drivers plying on hire system. Sometime when we enquired about the amount fixed by DC or DMC they tends to retaliate and retorted that price of oil has hiked and so of them.
Coming to reality, the reason behind all these confrontation is due to lack of proper information on fares to the common people from the concern authority. But this time I can assure that such battle or fight on fare will automatically vanish if the driver carry along with them the chart or fare menu.
So, I on behalf of all the daily commuters would like to appreciate and convey our gratitude to DC Dimapur for implementing and directing auto rickshaw to comply with the order and chart of the fare.
In addition, I would also like to request the DMC to look upon the passage/gate way below fly over on which most of the commuters passes by every day, for it gives problem to passer-by as the gate way is too small.
