With fuel rates hiking for a third consecutive day, Nagaland’s capital Kohima joined 9 other districts in the State where a litre of diesel was retailing above Rs 100 on October 29.
Petrol prices increased by 34 paise a litre while diesel rose by 35 paise across the state on Friday.
Accordingly, a litre of diesel increased from Rs 99.98 on Thursday to Rs 100.34 per litre on Friday in Kohima.
As per the IndianOil ONE app, as on October 28, only in Peren (Jalukie) and Dimapur, diesel was retialling below Rs 100 a litre in Indian Oil Corporation Limited outlets.
However, both were nearing the threshold with Rs 99.86 per litre in Jalukie and Rs 99.53 in Dimapur on Friday.
Petrol price, meanwhile, increased to Rs 110.35 per litre in Tuensang on Friday, while in Noklak and Kiphire, it was retailing respectively at Rs 110.27 and Rs 110.14 per litre.
In Dimapur, where fuel rates are lowest in the state, a litre of petrol was going for Rs 106.96 per litre. The prices, however, might be higher in other public sector and private fuel outlets.
