Now Dimapur DTF decides for total lockdown from July 26

A day after the announcement of partial lockdown, the District task Force (DTF) Dimapur has decided to imposed ‘total lockdown’ in the district from July 26 to August 2.

According to initial reports received here, the decision was taken during an emergency meeting of the DTF on July 24. 

It was informed that the total guidelines measures would be issued by the issued by the office of the Deputy Commissioner later. 

Meanwhile, Nagaland witnessed the second highest spike of COVID-19 on Friday with 63 new cases taking the state’s total tally to 1237. 

Out of the 61 new cases, there were 41 in Dimapur, 21 in Kohima and 1 in Peren, State’s Health and Family welfare Minister, S Pangnyu Phom updated on Twitter. 

Dimapur remains the district with highest total as well as active cases at 336 and 499 respectively.
