Wokha, November 23 (MExN): Following a recent directive from the Kohima Municipal Council directing citizens to remove building materials obstructing vehicular and pedestrian traffic, Wokha has also asked its citizens to do the same. SDO (C) Wokha, Lanusela Longkumer in a notification has directed all concerned to clear stone boulders, stone chips, sands and all such materials including Off-road vehicles lying along NH-2 (erstwhile NH-61) in Wokha Town, within a period of one (1) month from the date of issue of this order.
“Violation of the order shall lead to seizure of such lead to seizure of such materials/unused vehicles to be auctioned off. No complaint will be entertained after the cut-off date,” the notification stated.
The order has been issued after observing that such materials/ off road vehicles has been obstructing the smooth flow of traffic besides causing blockage of drainage along the roads, it added.
