NPA to conduct workshop on the ‘role of media against corruptions’

DIMAPUR, NOVEMBER 2 (MExN): The Nagaland Press Association (NPA) is scheduled to conduct a media workshop on the theme ‘Role of Media against corruptions’ on November 13 and 14 in Dimapur.  

A press note from the NPA informed that Nitin Sethi, Deputy Editor, Scroll.in will be the resource person for the two day workshop. Scroll.in is an online portal describing itself as an independent news, information, and entertainment venture. It aims to bring into sharp focus the most important political and cultural stories that are shaping contemporary India.  

The details of the upcoming workshop were discussed at a meeting of the NPA held at Press Point, Dimapur on November 2. The workshop is being organised by the NPA with support from the Directorate of Information & Public Relations (DIPR).  

The NPA press note stated that Nitin Sethi has over the years come to focus his work on governance, political economy and development. Starting his career as Senior Assistant Editor at Down to Earth, a science and environment fortnightly, Nitin has gone on to work at the Times of India, The Hindu, Business Standard and now at Scroll.in. Currently he is Guest Faculty at the Indian Institute of Mass Communication, New Delhi and also Guest Lecturer at Ashoka University.  

The NPA has requested all journalists in the state to confirm their participation either through their respective media houses or the press clubs latest by November 6.
