NPA urges pensioners to obtain and renew ID card

DIMAPUR, JULY 30 (MExN): The Nagaland Pensioners Association (NPA), Dimapur, held its General Council Meeting cum Post Inaugural Celebration on July 27, in the Mini Conference Hall of the newly constructed office building at Bank Colony, Dimapur. 

During the meeting, the NPA thanked the Government of Nagaland for the introduction of the Chief Minister Health Insurance Scheme, which is helping the pensioners and the public in many ways, and for which, it has decided to take up with the state government for certain modifications of the scheme for its effective implementation, a press release stated.

In this connection, NPA urged all the pensioners to obtain or renew their Identity Card (ID) from the office on any working days- Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. Drawing of pension money without ID is a contravention of the Government Notification vides Finance Dept. No. FIN/ESTT-67/99 (Pt-1), dated 15/03/2010, it added. 

The association further informed the treasury office, and banks to insist on producing of pensioners ID proof during verification. Further, it informed the pensioners to do the needful at the earliest.

In the meeting, the NPA also conveyed its appreciation to all the pensioners in Dimapur region for their support towards the successful completion of the office building after 42 years of its existence.
