DIMAPUR, MARCH 5 (MExN): The General Secretary of the NPCC, Medokhul Sophie stated that the PCC Executive Meeting was held at Dimapur on March 5. A press note stated that the meeting while extending its gratitude to the electorates also expressed its happiness over “unwavering and continuous support of the people of Nagaland in spite of various odds in Naga society owing to the DAN regime of the past decade.”
It stated that the meeting expressed its resolve to “look forward to the same continuous support as it ventures to strengthen the party at all level more vigorously in the days ahead.” It also resolved to act as a strong opposition party keeping in views the welfare and the people as its “utmost priority.”
The meeting expressed its sadness over the demise of “a dynamic leader” and candidate of 53 Tuensang Sadar 1, P Chuba Chang, who expired on February 22. The meeting expressed its condolences to the members of Chang's familyas and to the people of the constituency.
