NPCC stands by its charges against Parl Secy

Dimapur, November 26 (MExN): The NPCC, while standing by its declaration of November 23, in a ‘counter rejoinder’, stated that it does not consider Thupusayi Nienu’s “rebuttal statement” of November 26 a rejoinder to NPCC’s “revelation of mega corruption and irregularities pertaining to forgery, cheating and fraudulent cases” allegedly committed by Chotisu Sazo, Parliamentary Secretary, Social Welfare & Women Development Nagaland and “his cohorts”.

The note from Mghato Achumi, NPCC General Secretary and R. Paphino, Chairman of NPCC’s Vigilance Cell, said that “considering the magnitude of corruption deeds of these people, the NPCC has already filed criminal cases with the State Vigilance Commission on 23rd November 2012”. It has asked the concerned, that is the State Vigilance authority, to discharge its responsibility “as per the law of the land expeditiously”.

It has also said that “if the offenders have anything to comment or claim innocence, let them do so as and when they are summoned to stand before the Vigilance Commission”.
