NPCC still wants HM out

The NPF can’t be trusted. The other day the NPF distanced itself from Imkong L. Imchen, Home Minister and then the party defended him the next day. The NPF President in his letter of regret had said that what Imkong L. Imchen had stated was his own personal view and that it was not in line with the stand of the party. Politically and technically, the NPF had disowned him. Any individual who has deviated from the party’s political stand is an anti-party activity. The NPF was expected to have taken disciplinary action against him for anti-party activities and advised the Chief Minister to remove him from the council of ministers. Imkong L. Imchen had issued the statement not as an individual but as the Home Minister.

The NPF was also evasive in answering the question posed by NPCC as to whether the NPF legislators are prepared to resign from their present positions. The NPF should answer this question straight. Else, it will be concluded their legislators are not prepared to resign. They can’t escape from the eyes of the public by being evasive. It is now more than clear that the NPF legislators are not all serious and sincere in finding solution to Naga political problem. The Congress had doubt on NPF in this issue right from the beginning. Our suspicion has been proved right.

What political language was the NPF talking about? The Congress as a political party has no language other than political language. If Imkong L. Imchen, as a politician could talk in political language; why not a political party? The Congress had merely pointed out past instances when Imkong L. Imchen should have been axed. Contrary to what the NPF believed, the issue of fraudulent withdrawal and missing arms are far from being over so long as the cases are not brought to logical conclusions. The NPF may have the pleasure to close the chapters but they will be re-opened in opportune time. The demand for Imkong L. Imchen’s removal as Home Minister stands.
