Dimapur, November 16 (MExN): NPCC on Thursday stated that the former office bearers of 31 Akuluto Mandal A/C Committee, who had earlier resigned before the 2023 Assembly Polls, formally joined the Congress Party en bloc on November 15, in the presence of Capt GK Zhimomi, PCC Vice President and Vikato Zhimomi, President Zunheboto DCC, at Akuluto Town. “The fact that this is happening at a Constituency which had sent the BJP candidate unopposed to the Legislative Assembly just a few months back says a lot about the utter disillusionment of the people towards the BJP, and will act as a huge morale booster to the rank and file of the Congress Party, with General Elections right around the corner,” it stated.
