Dimapur, November 12 (MExN): A ‘Get Together Meet’ of Dr. Shurhozelie Liezietsu led Naga People’s Front (NPF) unit of Tuensang, Mon, Longleng, and Kiphire was held at at Likhimro Hydro Project under Pungro Sub-division of Kiphire District, on November 10.
The event was hosted by MLA T Torechu and his wife and sponsored by MLA N. Thongwang, the party Kiphire Divisional President Justin Khatomong T informed in a press release.
The party workers under Kiphire district from both 59 & 60 Assembly Constituency respectively come together and attended the meet.
In the event, the president asked the party man and women of 59 & 60 Assembly Consistency to remain faithful with the party under the Presidentship of Dr. Shürhozelie liezietsu who is tallest regional leadership of Naga and appealed them not to be carried away with cheap claims made by the dissenting NPF leaders, the release said.
MLA T Torechu also lauded N Thongwang for his concern towards to the party at both 59 & 60 A/C, and urged the party men and women to elect a true leader who is faithful and honest towards to the party for all round development instead of being carryied away with materialistic approaches from a selfish leaders.
In his keynote address, MLA N. Thongwang acknowledged the party President Dr. Shurhozelie liezietsu, under whose leadership the party remain protected thus far by having the people’s mandated upon three consecutive tenures.
“Despite of the dissent group having more then 2/3 majority elected representative they under the disguise of power are trying to rob the people’s mandated NPF party, as they knew that the NPF party is with the people,” he said commenting on the ongoing crisis in the NPF.
The Election Commission of India's (ECI) directive clearly indicate who is the rightful owner of NPF party, Thongwang maintained and further called upon the “the party men and women to know the leaders who are with the people and elect them accordingly for constituency welfare”.
