Dimapur, May 23 (MExN): The NPF Media Advisor, Sebastian Zumvu had tendered resignation from NPF party today. This was disclosed in his resignation letter addressed to the President, Naga People’s Front, Central Headquarters, Kohima.
Citing the reason for his decision, Zumvu said, “due to paucity of time on my part, I have been unable to spare enough time to party works and do justice to the position allotted to me. Therefore, I have decided to take a political sabbatical and tender my resignation from active and primary membership of the NPF with immediate effect. You may, therefore, please accord due regard to this correspondence.”
Mentioning that during the period of his association with the NPF party, he had the opportunity to have met and closely interacted with several tall Naga leaders, and he had been enriched greatly by these meetings. “I am grateful for that,” he said.
“I have had the rare privilege of witnessing in close quarters some tumultuous political developments in the State in the last few years; I have learned quite a lot from these experiences. Indeed, I have fond memories of the party, of party leaders some of whom are no more; I shall cherish their memories,” he also added.
While wishing the President of NPF and the party all the best, he also fervently hoped that “party leaders – especially the legislative wing – take the party to greater heights by restraining themselves forthwith from back-stabbing each other; give more respect to party functionaries, appreciate their contributions and do not take them for granted; stop their games of one-upmanship and intrigues; and develop loyalty the shelf-life.”
