Mon, May 4 (MExN): All members of NPF Mon division have welcomed the decision of Noke Wangnao who had recently announced willingness to take up the responsibility of chief minister of Nagaland if given the opportunity. Informing this in a press release, NPF Mon division president, Thingtok Konyak said that Noke is one of the senior most members of the DAN cabinet and the regional party. “He has stood by the principles and ideologies of the cock party from the day he joined the party. Through thick and thin, he has stood by the party principles and has not wavered even once on the entire career.” Further, calling Noke a man of integrity and truth, NPF Mon division stated that the latter has never changed his party colour even once throughout his career. “The Mon division upholds his leadership and acknowledges the fact the he has been one of the strongest pillars of regionalism in the political field,” it added.
Therefore, the NPF Mon division has appealed to all sections of the party, especially the chief minister, Neiphiu Rio and his legislative colleagues to give their blessings and support to Noke in the event of change of guard. It also urged the party president, Shurhozelie and all rank and file of the party to support the candidature of Noke. “Such a gesture will create history and give opportunity to the eastern Nagas to lead the state as equal partners in our common endeavours of inclusive progress, accelerated development, and economic growth.”
