NPF Phek alleges use of ‘hoax’ pension scheme

DIMAPUR, FEBRUARY 2 (MExN): The Phek unit of the NPF today alleged that a “hoax” pension scheme is being used by certain leaders in 19th Phek A/C to “misguide” the public and register them “under BJP Karnavati towards BJP membership drive.”

A press release from the media cell of the NPF, 19th A/C Phek claimed that “some leaders are misguiding the innocent public by way of registering their names using Aadhaar Card and bank account details in certain villages, specifically under 19th A/C Phek on the pretext of pension scheme which is never heard of, both at the State or Centre level.”

It claimed that some individuals have “already received transfer amount of Rs 1,000 in their account from certain VVIPs.” On probing into the matter, the NPF allegedly discovered that the “so called pension scheme is a hoax, masterminded to register people under BJP Karnavati towards BJP membership drive.”

The NPF said that “such false and blatant fraudulent activity from public leaders is uncalled for and further cautioned the public especially under 19th A/C Phek to be alert and careful if such fictitious activity is initiated upon them in the future.”

The party further questioned that if such a scheme really does exist, “why would it only apply only to 19th A/C Phek and not the entire state of Nagaland.” “This is one serious and dangerous matter for the general public which needs to be condemned and educated to the innocent public irrespective of party lines,” it said.

The NPF said that it would “fight tooth and nail till the truth is revealed and book the culprit behind the said spurious activity even post election and justice brought to the public.”
