Kohima, May 15 (MExN): The Naga People’s Front (NPF) Phek division held a consultative meeting here today at the residence of MLA Dr. Chotisuh Sazo.
The meeting was attended by all the four MLAs of Phek division, candidate of the party who could not return in the last general election, Central Executive Council members, Central office bearers along with members from frontal organizations, division office bearers along with frontal heads, area unit presidents and their general secretaries.
In the form of resolution, the division placed on record its gratitude to the electorates of Phek district for reposing their faith and loyalty to the party by electing 4 NPF MLAs out of five seats in the last 13th general election to the Nagaland Legislative Assembly.
The division reposed its faith and confidence in the leadership of Dr. Shürhozelie Liezietsu, president NPF and TR Zeliang, leader of the NPF Legislature Party in the current Nagaland Legislative Assembly, stated a release issued by Dr. Chotisuh Sazo, MLA & District In-charge and Convenor bye-poll Lok Sabha election and Chivotso Nienu, president NPF Phek division and member secretary bye-poll Lok Sabha election.
It appealed and urged all “secular forces” in the State to vote for C Apok Jamir, the consensual candidate of NPF in the bye-poll of the Lok Sabha scheduled for May 28. The division urged the general public to vote for the NPF candidate to represent the Naga hope and aspiration in the Indian Parliament, the release added.
