
DIMAPUR, MAY 26 (MExN): The NPF has stated that it was elated to note that the Election Commission of India has scheduled a nation-wide photography campaign in two phases with effect from June 1 to 27, 2011. “Indeed, we are glad to learn that the massive exercise will be carried out in the State of Nagaland under the leadership of J. Alam, Chief Electoral officer where all eligible electors are to be photographed”, stated a press note from the Press Bureau, Central Office, NPF.
The NPF party observed that the E.P.I.C. campaign shall insure the implementation of the norms and guidelines of the Election Commission and fulfill the fundamental objective of the Indian Constitution in letter and in spirit. “This photography campaign is a welcome step in the right direction where violation of the ECI guidelines will be prevented. The proper implementation of E.P.I.C. shall make the electoral process transparent and enhance the vibrancy of democracy in India”, the NPF stated.
