
Party State Executives hold consultative meeting with district functionaries
Dimapur, October 7 (MExN): The National People’s Party (NPP) Nagaland is “gaining good momentum and many like-minded people as well as intending candidates are approaching and seeking for the party’s ticket,” the NPP State President, Dr Andrew Ahoto Sema has maintained.
However, the party currently is keeping a very low profile and will publicly announce the official candidates and the party’s plans for the upcoming polls at the right and opportune moment, he told a consultative meeting of NPP’s Nagaland State Executives with the District Presidents and General Secretaries held at Cafe Mitron, Dimapur on October 6.
He further called upon all the District Units to work in close coordination with the State team and to choose capable leaders, while also asking them to be loyal to the party’s ethics and principles, informed a press release from the party.

Dr Ahoto also exuded positive confidence that with the whole-hearted support of the District Units, the party is “set to become a game-changer and an alternative national political party for Nagaland’s development,” it added.
Chairing the consultative meeting, he further expressed joy at the proactive role played by the District Units in bringing about greater efficacy into the party organisation.
As of now, NPP as a National Party has been constituted in all the 12 districts of Nagaland with very efficient and able party workers, he noted.
The meeting, mainly focused on the upcoming Party Convention and the Assembly and Urban Local Bodies Elections, was also attended by officials of the State Frontal Organizations including the State Women Wing and the National People’s Youth Front (NPYF).
During brief speeches, the district representatives expressed common hope the party’s presence and potential in the districts as well as the constituency, block and booth levels were going forward on a war-footing, the release said.
The district representatives also presented brief reports of their respective districts during the course of the meeting, it informed.
Other speakers included Philip Lam, State General Secretary (Organisation) and Lima Longchar, State Advisor cum Convenor of Mokokchung District.
