NPP Kohima district leaders, members join NPF

Kohima, July 30 (MExN): A section of office bearers and members of the National People’s Party (NPP) Kohima District has announced its decision to join the Naga People’s Front (NPF), stating that the move was made in what they described as the greater interests of the Naga people.

In a statement, the group said it had collectively decided to join the NPF, asserting that “politics must always serve the greater interests of the Naga people.”

The members further stated that they were inspired by the leadership of Chief Minister Dr Neiphiu Rio, describing his governance as inclusive and development-oriented. They said his “inclusive governance, unwavering commitment to peace, political stability, and development-oriented leadership have earned the confidence and respect of the people across Nagaland.”

According to the statement, the signatories comprise eight members from the NPP Kohima District Executive, 10 members from the 9th Kohima Town Assembly Constituency Youth Wing, and 10 members from the 9th Kohima Town Assembly Constituency Women’s Wing.
