Mokokchung, May 20 (MExN): The National People’s Party (NPP), Mokokchung division has endorsed the People’s Democratic Alliance (PDA) consensus candidate Tokheho Yepthomi and resolved to work diligently for his success in the coming Lok Sabha bye-election. A decision to this effect was taken during a co-ordination meeting of the division held at its office on May 19.
The meeting held among the parent, women and youth wings of the division was called to take stock of the preparations for the bye-election scheduled for May 28, informed a press release from NPP Mokokchung division.
The division distributed the works among the different wings and entrusted the office bearers and party leaders to reach out to the masses with the mandated PDA slogan of ‘change is coming’.
The NPP Mokokchung division also reposed “full faith” in the PDA government to fulfill its promise, especially to its elected MLA Imnatiba (Advisor) to reach the aspirations of the Naga people, the release added.
Meanwhile, it welcomed new party members and also resolved to stand firmly by the NPP’s principle.
