NPP Nagaland mourns Dr Imtiwapang Aier

Dimapur, January 8 (MExN): The National People’s Party (NPP), Nagaland State has mourned the demise of Dr Imtiwapang Aier, sitting MLA and former Speaker, Nagaland Legislative Assembly who passed away on January 7 in Dimapur.

“As a people’s leader and MLA, Late Dr Imtiwapang Aier was a statesman with a rare acumen who tried his best to uplift the lot of people belonging to all tribes, communities and religious groups. With his death, Nagaland in general and the Ao Community in particular have lost a young, promising and dynamic leader who stood for the rights and welfare of the Naga people in general,” State NPP President Dr Andrew Ahoto Sema stated in a condolence message on Sunday.

The void created by his untimely demise will be very difficult to fill in days to come, Sema stated while paying homage to the departed soul. “We pray that God Almighty give his wife and family members moral strength and spiritual courage to bear with this immense loss and may his soul rest in eternal peace!”
