NPP Nagaland visits Sisters of Charity

Dimapur, October 2 (MExN): As a run up to the celebration of the 150th Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, the National People’s Party (NPP) Nagaland State went on an outreach visit to Sisters of Charity, Dimapur on September 30.
A press release stated here that the team, which included the state executive members and state youth leaders was led by the State President of NPP, Dr Andrew Ahoto Sema, State General Secretary (Org) Limanuksung Longkumer and State Youth President, E Yanghori Sangtam.
NPP Nagaland State President, Dr Andrew Ahoto Sema and Secretary to the State President and State Secretary (Protocol)Tohovi Achumi, spoke during the visit.
The team also interacted with the inmates and the nuns of the Sisters of Charity and distributed gifts.
“The missionaries under the Sisters of Charity take care for abandoned children, old age people, sick and mentally ill people, lepers, people suffering from HIV/AIDS, etc. These services are provided without any charge to people regardless of their religion or social status,” the release added.
