Dimapur, March 23 (MExN): The National People's Party (NPP) has announced a list of 30 star campaigners for the upcoming Assam Legislative Assembly Election 2026. The same leaders will also campaign for the by-election to the 28-Koridang Assembly constituency in Nagaland.
The list includes Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma, along with senior leaders Prestone Tynsong, Sniawbhalang Dhar, I Hemochandra Singh, James K Sangma and Agatha K Sangma.
Other prominent names include Rupert Momin, Marcuise N Marak, M Rameshwar Singh, Sheikh Noorul Hassan, A T Mondal, Marthone J Sangma, Mmhonlumo Kikon, Loken Khuraijam and Janghemlung Panmei.
The party has also named Dr Mehtab Chandee A Sangma, Wailadmiki Shylla, Sanjay A Sangma, Dr Tseilhoutuo Rhutso, Thangwang Wangham, M Ampareen Lyngdoh, Paknga Bage, Ian Botham K Sangma, Dipul R Marak, Abdus Saleh, Ane U Khaming, Nickey Nongkhlaw, Taja Bonung, Nabam Rungri and Laxhmi Remo as star campaigners.
The notification was issued as part of the party’s preparations for the upcoming elections in Assam and the by-election in Nagaland.
