Dimapur, September 7 (MExN): The Local Fish and Frozen Meat Kiosk located at Organic AC Market Complex, 4th Mile, NE Expo site was formally inaugurated by T Inavi Zhimo, Chairman, Nagaland State Agricultural Produce & Livestock Marketing Board (NSAMB) in the presence of G Ikuto Zhimomi, Chief Executive Officer, NSAMB on September 6.
Jacob Achumi, Associate Pastor SBCD, Dimapur dedicated the opening with a Bible scripture followed by prayer.
NSAMB Chairman informed that the Livestock was not a part of Agricultural Marketing but as per the new Agricultural produce & Livestock Marketing (APLM) Act 2020 it is now incorporated and keeping in line with it. The ‘Local Fish and Frozen Meat Kiosk’ is opened as first of its kind, he stated.
This will help not only the local farmers but also promote local entrepreneurs; the main objective is to provide fresh local fish free of chemical/formaldehyde to the consumers and also to promote local fish farming, the Chairman added in a press release.
The kiosk will open from Monday to Saturday (9:00 am-5:00 pm). Customers can also book huge quantities for large events.
