DIMAPUR, OCTOBER 25 (MExN): The 18th annual prayer meeting of the Northern Sumi Community Dimapur (NSCD) was held on October 22 at the Tourist Lodge conference hall.
The programme was aimed at promoting togetherness and unity and held under the theme Mussa, Susho & Xuqhe.’
Pastor, Dimapur Sumi Baptist Church, Juliet Shikhu exhorted the gathering, besides sharing the word of God and praying for the congregation. She encouraged the members to uphold one another ‘because this is how a community prospers.’
Also speaking during the occasion, Kughalu Chishi, Chairperson of the NSCD said it was imperative for the community to be closely knitted together, both socially and spiritually. He urged the members to be flag bearers of social harmony in the society and also to be active in participating in social activities.
Invocation for the program was pronounced by Bokali Chishi while Kitoyi, Vice Chairperson of the community did the introduction of the members.
The programme was chaired by Tokheho Chophy, Secretary, NSCD, and recorded by Samuel Chophy, Secretary, NSSU.
