
DIMAPUR, DEC 21 (MExN): The NSCN (IM) has appreciated the Government of India’s invitation to the Naga Collective Leaders through the invitation of the Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh. In a press communiqué issued by Major (Retd) Johny Dilbung, Kilonser Information and Publicity it was stated that the warm reception accorded to the Naga leadership was viewed with hopes “of not the usual Indian hospitality as a host but with an anticipation of far sighted positive Indian political leadership’s decisions in resolving the protracted Indo-Naga political issue”.
“The Nagas hope and pray that the wisdom of the Indian political leaders would embark wisely on a historic and landmark resolution to end one of the world’s longest political imbroglio existing in South-East Asia”, Dilbung stated. The Kilonser also extended greetings to the people of India and “Nagalim” on the occasion of Christmas and New Year. The statement also wished the Collective Leaders and prayed that their endeavors be fruitful for the betterment of posterity.
The NSCN (IM) also appealed to all for fervent prayers so that the Government of India and Naga leaders involved in the peace talks would be blessed with wisdom to find an early and amicable political solution to the long standing issue.
“In every effort and endeavour of our struggle as a people traversing across different hurdles of disenchantments, disillusionments, dichotomy and divisions, yet we remain determined to strive on in realizing our people’s aspired goals as inherent in any revolutionary movements throughout times in human history”, the statement added.
