NSCN-IM ‘bans’ camouflage etc

Dimapur, February 12 (MExN): The NSCN-IM Lotha region cautions the public against wearing camouflage dresses by any civilians in “the backdrop of the prevailing situation during this post-election (sic) period to avoid any untoward incidents.” Stern action will be taken against the defaulters, a note form the Lotha region stated. Possessing firearms by any individual or “unauthorized persons without valid license” will compel the “authorities,” the region claimed, to seize the arms without “further warning.” Vehicles bearing political party flags and transporting alcohol with also be dealt with, it stated. The underground outfit appeals to all to cooperate “to create peaceful atmosphere at Lotha region.”
