Kohima, November 5 (MExN): The Longding battalion of Indian Army apprehended NSCN (IM) cadre identified as Ganhee Wangpan in the early hours of November 5 at Longding village in Arunachal Pradesh. A pistol and live ammunition were recovered from him, according to a press release from Col C Konwer, PRO (Defence). It said that the cadre admitted to being active part of the group since 2010 and had undergone training at NSCN training camp. “The cadre has been actively involved in extortion activities in Longding & Tirap district and has been apprehended twice before in 2010 & 2012,” the release added.
