DIMAPUR, AUGUST 15 (MExN): The NSCN/GPRN on 14th August 2012 celebrated the 66th Naga Independence Day at the council headquarters, Hebron. An impressive formal function was organised to mark the occasion. TT Among the Kilo Kilonser graced the occasion as the chief guest. The function started at 9:00AM with an invocation prayer by Rev.DH Zeme, pastor CHQ, followed by unfurling of the National flag by the chief guest and presentation of Guard of Honour by the General Field Training Headquarter, Naga Army. Thereafter, a two minutes silent prayer was offered in honour of fallen national heroes which was led by Mr. Vaison Vemai, vice president CNC. An entertaining martial arts demonstration was presented by Ukhrul Wushu Club and Special songs were presented by inmates from Adung Memorial Hostel Kamdi bazaar, and GHQ Choir. The chief guest on behalf of the Yaruiwo read out the presidential address. The function concluded with the benediction prayer being pronounced by Rev.Seksim Kasar, Director FCM.
