
Dimapur, September 6 (MExN): The NSCN (IM) has expressed shock and sadness over the untimely demise of Brigadier Ghoshito Yeptho of the General Headquarters (GHq), Naga Army after a prolonged illness on September 5.
Hailing from Suhoi village under Union Territory (UT), late Yeptho enrolled in the Naga Army on July 15, 1985 and subsequently served the Naga Army in various capacities till he breathed his last at Zion Hospital, Dimapur on Monday, informed a condolence message from the MIP NSCN (IM).
“He served the Naga nation with unwavering patriotism until his demise. The void created by his death would be difficult to fill in,” it said, but adding that for his selfless contributions to the Naga national cause, his name shall be recorded in the pages of the Naga history and remembered for all time to come.
“It is our prayers that the Almighty God will comfort his family members during this time of grief. May his soul find eternal peace!,” it added.
The NSCN (IM) further informed that as a mark of respect to late Yeptho, MM, all the offices under the GPRN remained closed on September 5 from 12 noon onwards and the Naga national flag was flown at half-mast.
