Dimapur, June 1 (MExN): The NSCN (IM) has mourned the demise of six of its members for reasons connected to illness in the recent past.
A condolence message from the MIP NSCN (IM) informed that the deceased included Major Khehoto Chophy, belonging to Sumi Region and attached with GHQ, Naga Army, who died due to kidney failure on May 31.
On May 25, Razou Peyu Kiholi Yeptho of UT, GPRN passed away after a brief illness. Deputy Kilonser Hokheto Aye from UT, GPRN also passed away on May 17 due to illness.
Leacy of UT,GPRN, Bovito Aye passed away due to illness on May 9, while Deputy Kilonser Akheli and a member of NFFWWF, of Sumi Region died on May 5 after a prolonged illness.
On May 3, Tatar Lily Kikon of Lotha Region died due to illness.
Acknowledging the services rendered by them, NSCN (IM) stated: “Their spirit of sacrifice and dedication for the Naga national cause will not be forgotten. Their names will be recorded in the pages of Naga history.”
It further shared its condolences with the bereaved families and their close friends on their losses and prayed that the Almighty God would grant the departed souls peaceful rest.
