DIMAPUR, JULY 8 (MExN): The NSCN (IM), on July 8, issued a press statement demanding the release of an NNC-Non Accordist (MK) functionary, who was allegedly “arrested” by one group and handed over to the GRPN/NSCN.
The release, issued by the organisation’s Ministry of Information & Publicity, claimed that the unnamed functionary, a kilonser, was arrested for supporting the Framework Agreement.
Terming it a matter of concern and highly condemnable, it said that the kilonser was arrested on June 20 by the “Hozheto group of NNC along with his vehicle and handed over to Unification group (GPRN/NSCN).”
It added, “In order to avoid further misunderstanding, the Unification group should release the Kilonser along with his vehicle without further delay.”
